Setting up your blog - step 2

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Yesterday we discussed how to find your niche or topic for a profitable blog. The next step is to get your blog up and running.
Now there are a variety of choices to get a blog some free some paid but if you are serious you really need to have a blog on your own domain. [...]

Niche research - step one

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

This is probably the step that most people leave out when deciding to start a profitable blog. They just randomly pick a topic and run with it.
My feeling is that first you need a topic that is a passion for you at least for a blog that you are going to write. Now if you [...]

Blogs are being compromised via this vulnerability on widespread scale.
The most common symptom of a compromised blog is the presence of links
to spam web sites inserted in the blog that are obscured by style

WordPress 2.5 - 2 thumbs up

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Well I have changed quite a few blogs over to the latest version of WordPress - 2.5 and have had no problems so far.
Unlike the last major change when they went to 2.3 I have had no trouble with the various plugins not wanting to play nice with this version.
The biggest thing I have found [...]

Need more comments here

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Have not been getting the number of comments here that I would like. Have actually thought about using the “Robert Plank” rule. On his blog he won’t post a new post until he gets 10 comments.
Now I don’t want to do that but have done a few things to make commenting here more valuable for [...]

Just did a video and uploaded it to give you an idea of some of the changes with the latest edition of WordPress -2.5.
Starting to like this and with a minor exception mentioned in the video with the upgrade functionality which may have been just a server glitch I have had no problems and the [...]
