Decided to go off topic today. Was up late last night for the Super Bowl and all of the following post game shows last night. Had a good party with friends at my brother in laws house and watched an exciting game.
If it had been a bad game (and it wasn’t unless you are a Steelers fan) it is still worth watching just for the commercials. So I decided to talk about the other game being played for big bucks by the advertisers. At $3 million dollars for 30 seconds definitely not for the faint of heart.
Have always loved the Cydesdale commercials in the past but this year was a bit disappointed that way but Budweiser definitely came up with a good one with the dogs for Bud Lite.
You have to love Karma so the Bridgestone commercial with the beaver was another I really enjoyed.
And the third one that really caught my attention was the Beetle ad by Volkswagen.
So those were my favorite three ads from last night. Which ads were your favorites? Leave your comments below.
And yes I will be back on topic tomorrow just wanted some fun today.

If you would like help in building your business check out my coaching offer.
Back in March I did a post on the plugins that I use on my blog and it has not changed much. Back then because of the mind map part of it was cut off. The actual settings that I use and tweaks that I make.
This was originally created for my VA to install my blogs in the same manner that I do and the lower portion of the mind map was not shown in the post. I have decided that I will give access to not only the mind map but an 8 minute video explanation of the process that I use.
The cost will be $7.95 and I will be using the same system I learned from my friend Steve Roye at Real First Steps. You will need to be logged in to this blog which means you must register if you have not previously to see the Paypal button.
The original post is quoted below.
“Figured I would take advantage of the things that I am doing that have kept me from posting here. See I am working on outsourcing and have been adding people to my business and this has caused me to have to step back and actually document what I do.
That is one of the reasons that my posting on all of my blogs has been down this week. Yep, sometimes you have to step back to move forward. To do this I have been mind mapping the various processes so they can do exactly what I do. Really should have been doing this for myself before this but a lot of what I do is automatic for me.
You really should be mind mapping your processes and Discover Free Mind is a great way to discover how to do it.
Back to the main point – I just finished going through and mapping out how I install each blog I add. This way I can just hand it ot my VA and let them put up the blog for me.
Here is a copy of what I created.
So there you have the current list of what I add to my blogs. Now there are a lot of other plugins that I may add for specific purposes but that is a good list of what I currently use.”
Here’s the process for getting your hands on the Video and Mind map in the next couple of minutes using PayPal:
1. When you click the PayPal button below, you will have the option of using your PayPal account or a credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account.
2. At the end of the order process, you will be taken to a page with a Return To Merchant button. Click that button to come back to this post and download the video and mind map.
IMPORTANT! If you are using a Fire Fox browser, when you click the Return To Merchant button, an alert like this may appear…
While this looks scary, the information that is sent over an unencrypted connection is the information needed to access the report on this page—NOT credit card info.
So, if you get this alert, just push Continue. Otherwise, you will not gain instant access to the video and mind map and your access will have to be processed manually (this is the opposite of instant access and may take some time).
3. You will be redirected back to this page and the download link will appear in place of the PayPal button below—automatically. You will have unlimited access to the video and mind map.
If you have any difficulty gaining access to the video and mind map, please contact me immediately using the Support Desk.
The first thing you want to make sure of when using MyBlogLog is to fill out your profile completely especially with a picture or avatar. This picture or avatar will show up on any blog that you visit and will start to brand you or your business.
Take the time to add the services you already use like You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, and many more. Integrating these will be helpful when you are back checking yourself. Something that will be addressed in a future post under using MyBlogLog for research.
Now how much contact information you decide to make available is a personal choice and each of those items can be displayed to everyone, just your contacts or nobody.
One of the things I do like to set is to auto join communities. Mine is set to 10 visits so if you are a member and I visit your blog 10 times then MyBlogLog will automatically add me to your community. This will become very important when we discuss using this for research.
Fill out your bio and again you can decide who it will be displayed to.
Add in your blog/s. It is a relatively simple process. Next time we will discuss setting up the tracking and adding widgets to your blog but if you have never used MyBlogLog this is enough for one post.
The more information and the more personal you make your page the better it will perform for you. This is about networking with others and building a tribe that wants your information.
Doing this properly does take a bit of time and effort but it will pay off to do it right the first time.
Your comments keep this series going so let me know what you think about the information and if you have anything you have done that would help others or an item that I skipped in this process.
This series of posts will cover what the various pages within your theme editor control. Now some themes have additional pages and I will only cover the basic pages to help you understand how the pieces fit together. Here are the basic theme files on most Word Press blogs. I will go through the default Kubrick theme.
Each day I’ll discuss 3 or 4 of them until I have covered them all.

Stylesheet – The stylesheet controls the colors, fonts and formatting of various parts of the blog. It will set the size and color of the various H tags along with numerous other things including background colors or images.
404 Template – This file pulls the pieces to display your 404 page. This is where you would go to customize pages that are shown when someone enters a bad URL. This can be a great place to add an ad or other offer.
Archives – This file should not be edited as a rule. It will pull in and display the posts for a particular month when that month is clicked from the sidebar. It will pull from other files to create the look of the page and it is those files that need to be edited not this one.
Next time we’ll discuss popup comments, comments and footer.
If you have any questions on Word Press blogs or blogging in general that you would like to see addressed please leave a comment.
Answering this question is like answering how long is a piece of string? It will vary from blog to blog.
Deciding how many categories to create will depend on how tightly targetted your blog is. If you cover 10 topics then you could easily have 20 or more if you only had 2 subtopics for each topic area.
If your blog is tightly targetted you may only have 3 or 4 or you may have 20 depending on how far you want to drill down within your topic. The key is to do what works for you.
Just wanted to let you know that Word Press has just done an update to 2.06. The below is quoted from the Word Press blog.
Â
“Here’s what’s new:The aforementioned security fixes.
HTML quicktags now work in Safari browsers.
Comments are filtered to prevent them from messing up your blog layout.
Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups”
Â
I recommend that you update your blog ASAP.
I have added a new video to help you do that in the Gold members video archive and links to the download page and upgrade page in the members area.
You can also get me to do it if you aren’t comfortable doing it. The important thing is to get it done.
Well I finally found the time to start a lens on Word Press over at Squidoo.
This will be a learning thing to figure out exactly how to make this work for me. The interface seems nice and easy so far.
Of course I have started at the bottom so now it is time to see how quickly this can be rated up instead of at 63000 something.
I have joined a couple groups that have to do with blogging and if you are a Squidoo user would love to have you stop by and leave a blurb on the guest book. Guess time will tell.
It will still pay 100% to affiliates and will continue to be available for purchase. Those who have bought it should look forward to the January updates. Have found quite a few neat little toys for commenting on.
Leave a comment here if you have a particular topic you would like to see addressed in the future.
This will probably be the last post here until after the Christmas holiday.
Have you ever thought about creating your own blog and was scared to try. Well I have been there and done that.
My first blog was done on a pmachine script quite a while back. If not for a friend who literally held my hand and walked me through the process step by step I never would have been able to do it. Didn’t even know what a MySQL data base was let alone how to do it. Then to set up the config file so it could access the data base I made. Yuck! Was scared to death it wouldn’t work and my hosting account would be screwed up forever.
Well he helped me and that is why I decided to create Word Press Made Easy. Even with the advent of Fantastico on most cPanel servers there are too many bogs that just look like a blank default template with none of the plugins or themes added.
See I look at a lot of blogs every month. I run Blogazoo so just in approving the blogs I see hundreds if not thousands each month. With everything that is available now there is no excuse for some of the blogs I see. This will show you how to alleviate that problem even if you are like I was and haven’t an idea what a MySQL data base is.
Would like to welcome all to this blog. It was created to help people to easily create and improve their Word Press blogs and have them look like their blog not a cookie cutter.
Look for more information to be added.
The product Word Press Made Easy will be launching on August 3.
