It can be hard sometimes when you sit down to write your blog. Here are 3 ways to generate ideas for blog posts.

The easiest way is to ask your readership. You can do this through surveys, asking for comments (you may have seen me use that one once or twice here) and then address the questions you get on future blog posts.

Doing good keyword research on your topic is another great way to come up with topics. If you have built a keyword tree for your blog and found the topics that you are likely to rank for it is just a matter of writing on each of those topics. I find it best to use Market Samurai and follow their lessons to find the real golden keywords on any of my niche blogs.

You can get a free trial of Market Samurai then go through their dojo (training videos) to get the most from it.

Follow the news at Google to see what is hot on your topic. I like to go to Google News and put in a topic. Then add the RSS feed to my reader so that each time I look at it I can see the latest news on that topic.

These 3 ways can help you to always have a topic when you sit down at the computer and avoid that bad feeling you get when you sit down and stare at a blank screen with no idea what to write.

Now as I do use these techniques feel free to leave your comments with any questions you may have.
