All In One SEO plugin update
Just a quick FYI if you use All In One SEO plugin. Seems the upgrade to the latest version turns it off. You will get a notice that you need to enable it. You will get this message.

Click the link to go to the admin page.

Update both of the data base links. (Make sure you have a data base backup – something you should do anyhow.)

Then make sure you have clicked the radio button to enable and then click the update button.
The good thing is that until you complete the tasks you will see the first warning message in your dashboard.
Keep them updated but make sure you complete the process or you will lose the functionality of the All In One SEO plugin.

Thanks for the advice. Seems I have another problem with my SEO in one. I actually have two versions of it on one of my blogs and Have not been able to delete the older copy. I think I will be be going in to my cpanel and deleting them both and reinstalling. This is on one of my newest blogs and I am not sure how it happened int he first place.

Thanks Mike, one day less alert and I missed that. But still it now very easy to see the alerts and update with WP 2.8. I wonder how people could manage their blogs and plug-ins in the past…

Mike,
Thanks for the great set of instructions. I’m sure these will be very helpful for people.
Earl, you should be able to just delete the old plugin from your plugins management page. You can also just delete the directory with your FTP program.
If it’s easier for you to do it in CPanel, then that’s fine. Deleting and reinstalling the plugin won’t erase any SEO data you have.

As an added precaution, recommend that people write down the settings in their All-in-One configuration page before they begin. The last update to it didn’t keep your legacy settings, meaning you had to re-enter then by hand. In most cases it’s been long enough since people set it up they won’t remember their settings unless they’ve made note of them.

Thanks for this great plugin. I have a big problem… dont know if it is really allinoneseo.
When you click on an article link on the index, you get only the rss feed not the post or article self.

I’ ve tried it again and deactivated the plugin. Only then it works. When I activate allinoneseo-plugin, I get only the rss feed on the front page index, when I click on the titles of posts.
