Keeping plugins up to date
Just a reminder that it is important to keep your plugins up to date. It is quite easy to do with the latest versions of WordPress. This week alone 3 of the plugins I use had to be updated for the Power WordPress Users site.
This is normal each and every week which is why once a week we update our master download to save having to chase new plugins each time we add a new blog.
When you login and see the red circle with a number next to plugins in your dashboard take the time to do the updates. It is easy to do within the dashboard.
I have added the video walk through below of how to do just that.
So make sure you keep them up to date.

You’re right Mike, and with major niche marketers, affiliate marketers and Internet marketers having dozens or even hundreds of blogs, it’s time for development to switch to self-updating plugins instead of yet another WP incremental update. Otherwise the Internet landscape will be littered with every version of every plugin ever made as time goes on, adding to the clutter and junk tying up bandwidth and messing up coding.
At least plugin developers like Andy at ComLuv are coming up with new value-added services to accompany their plugins – maybe it’s time for WP to try to integrate the plugin developer community a bit more too!

This plugin update feature is one of the best upgrades to WordPress to come along in a while. It is so convenient to just watch for the number beside plugin and update the plugin each time you log into WordPress. Thanks for reminding us to do it.
