Mike,
Thanks for the update. I will be at work at that time, so hopefully I’ll catch it on the replay.
Good luck.

I am in the process of starting a new internet business (see the above website) that I am still in the process of developing and I am trying to learn the ins and outs of blogging to see if I want to include a blog on the site and whether or not I can and want to include a blog. I don’t know if I have anything relevant to say and if I have enough to say that will make it worth my customers time. I am an accountant by trade and most people aren’t that interested nor do they know enough about accounting that I can hold their interest. I am still learning the internet retail trade so I don’t think I have enough to say there. Thanks for your assistance.

Mike,
I will not be able to make the call on Wednesday night. But I have a question about updating your blog.
I just updated my blog to 2.7.1. Near the end of the process a page came up that said that my database needed updating. I clicked the button and it came back and said that my database was successfully updated.
I had prior to the WordPress update changed my cPanel login database password. When I did that it said that my database password was changed also.
Now, here is my question: how did the WordPress update know the new password? The update instructions say, “Make sure the database user name registered to WordPress has permission to create, modify, and delete database tables before you do this step. (Step 9).
If I had had a problem at this point, where would I go to setup and make sure that WordPress has such permission?
It all work out fine and the update was accomplished successful. But I am curious about this step.
Since I will not be able to make the call, I hope you will have a playback of the call.
Thanks, Lonnie

Sorry I can’t be on the live Radio show Wed evening.
How would one create a WP blogsite that is real estate oriented with articles, links, listings (descriptions of property for sale with 6 pictures)? Is there a WP theme that is particularly well adapted to do a real estate blog? Creating articles and links I understand but creating listings with pictures has me stumped at the moment.
Thanks

I’m scheduling more posts in advance.
There are some packages / plugins available I believe. Does they have some limitations compared to scheduling post by post? Can you embed links for example? Allows formating or just plain text?
Thanks.

Mike:
I’m planning on changing my blog’s theme soon, are there any issues that I should be aware. For example, do I need to worry about my plugins working with a new theme.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

I noticed that my question wasn’t addressed on your radio show or on your blog. What happened? Did I miss something?
Mike on April 11, 2009 at 6:25 am
