What content works on your blog?
Reaching the end of the series on creating content. So today’s question is what types of content are working for you?
There are lots of types of content.
This is one of the things that most overlook. You need to know which types of content are working well for you..
See what works on one blog may not work in a different niche.
So how do you tell?
The key is to be tracking your results. There are a few things to track and understand to make decisions.
Does your posts generate comments?
Comments are a great gauge of how well your content is being accepted. One of the strengths of using a blog is to create interaction. As a rule the more interaction you get the more likely you are hitting the sweet spot with your content.
Are people sharing your content?
Retweets, Facebook likes, etc are a great gauge of the effectiveness of your content. The more people are sharing your content the more likely your readership will grow.
What pages are people viewing?
Last but certainly not least is to be tracking which pages are getting viewed.
You really need to have some type of tracking like Google Analytics so that you can see where people are entering your blog. It will also tell you how long people are staying on your blog.
These stats although they may seem to be a pain to review can really help you to see what works, what types of content your readers like and much more.
So take the time to review what is working and what is not. It will allow you to improve your results and make informed decisions to make your blog even better.
If you do not know what is working for you it is impossible to improve upon it.
Your additions to this list, questions or comments are always welcomed. Leave your comments below.
