WordPress 2.8.6 released today
Have to love the automatic notification function in WordPress. Saw the upgrade link in one blog before their blog posted the release information.
This looks like a minor fix that is important if you have multiple authors but not really super time sensitive if you are the only one posting items and have no users with posting privileges.
You can see the release from WordPress at this link.
Will have more information after I upgrade and test a few blogs with this version.

Thanks Mike for the update. I currently don’t have multiple users, but it’s good to know they are keeping up with fixing even smaller issues.

Another great update. I love the platform and the updates that are provided are wonderful.
I don’t have multiple users on my blog either, but it’s good to know that if I did, any issues that would arise are taken care of.
Thanks Mike!

This update was really unexpected.. though this update seems to be only for those
who have multi author blogs or is it for every one?

Seems like just yesterday it was upgrade to 2.8.5. Oh well so far a WP upgrade hasn’t “borked” my site(or at least since I dropped the customized theme& was dumb enough to try to upgrade without having the Themes upgrade first)

Another blasted update from Wordpress, but it does not sound to serious. I guess I cannot complain as I have not had any problems with by blogs. Thanks for the update.

Even with the ease of automatic upgrade it hard to keep current. it seems they are making smaller but more frequent updates now.
Thanks for the warning.

Thanks for the update Mike! With over a dozen blogs to manage, Teri & I have gotten into the habit of checking your blog first when an update is released, so we don’t waste time doing updates that aren’t pertinent to our situation.
Suggest others do the same – you’re the best go-to guy for this type of information!
