Hi Mike,
Can you do something like create a small list of all the WP plugins that you recommend we should use, what they specifically do and then provide a link to find them? There are so many and the explanations by the creators aren’t often that good and don’t “sell” us the reason why we should use their creation(sorry guys and gals who create the plugins!!!).
Next I’d be interested in finding out the best way to mention a product on my blog (for an aff comm). Should it be a post or a page and how best to structure the content to make the sale.
Cheers.

Sorry Mike, one more thing that just popped into my mind.
What advice can you give us on which autoresponder service to use to help build and mail to our subscribers (when we get them!) given that GetResponse (my current provider) has just hiked their prices up sooo much to bring them in line with Aweber and 1ShoppingCart that it doesn’t make it cost effective for those of us with no list and no online income from sales. I haven’t sold anything or made any decent money from Adsense for example (well, over the last 3 or 4 years I’ve earned a paltry $34.28 – still a way to go before a payout!!!).
Thanks again.

I have a few questions I am getting mixed info on and would like clarification.
How do we eliminate post and page revision copies? Is this a problem for reediting your posts etc?
Does excluding your static (legal) pages in your google site map really help?
Do you have any recommendations for WP blog robots text file?
I have experienced plugins not appearing after upgrading to wp 2.82. I can see them in ftp but they do not show up as plugins in the plugins installer? The theme does not seem to matter.

Hi Mike – getting traffic to my blog is number one on my list. Setting up a blog is a piece of cake. Content is everywhere – your own, articles on article directories, Yahoo answers, videos on vid sharing sites.
But without traffic the coolest looking blog, the best content, the most appealing offers, are all totally useless.

Hi Mike,
I’d like to know how to start building a subscriber list with my blog. What would you recommend as the best way to go about it and what resources would you use?
All the best,
Robert

Mike, voted for Tweaking my blog for same reason as Karen mentioned.
SEO plugins need better explanations on how to set them up and fine tune the results. How to best ping your post, how to get back links etc… No traffic, No Sales…

I am new to blogging and very confused. There is so much info available on the net about blogging, and one site contradicts another and so on. I am in the process of setting up a retail internet site and am considering setting up a blog associated with the site. I am very confused about how they work and how to set it up and what to include with the blog to spotlight the site and bring in more business. Any info you can give me in a free easy to use tutorial will be greatly appreciated. I emphasize free as the funds are very limited right now and I have to be extremely frugal if I ever want to get this site up and running.
Thanks,
Bob W

Hi Mike,
Always find your posts useful. Being a very non-techie I appreciate the tweaking tips, especially upgrades and would really like simple step by step help on such things.
Thanks for all your help so far.

Hi Mike, I voted for content, simply because bloggers always need good content. Working with wordpress itself is actually a breeze, so much easier than messing with websites and so adaptable. Great blog by the way, a ton of useful info here. Thanks.

Mike,
Great info. Although I agree that content is probably the thing that a lot of people struggle with, mine is tweaking to get it to ‘look’ the way I want it to.
Looking forward to more information on that subject…thanks for creating the poll…it’s interesting to see the results.
