WordPress Wednesday Times 3
Lots happening about WordPress today. WordPress 2.8 is being released, WordPress Made Easy has been totally redone to include the changes in 2.8 and finally tonight at 7 pm is the monthly WordPress Q and A Show on Blog Talk Radio. Now to the details.
Not announced 100% as I write this in the early morning but WordPress 2.8 should be out today per their blog. The post before this covers the steps for upgrading and what to be aware of to make it a smooth process. You can get my team and I to do the upgrade for you if you prefer. Once it is released we will also be updating the file for Power WordPress Users.
WordPress Made Easy – Just finished redoing all of the videos and instructions to cover all the changes in WordPress since the original release. Added bonuses that were not included to make it even easier for you to not only install and tweak out your WordPress blog easily but to get started with traffic generation and even included a complete explanation of the new dashboard.
Everything that you need ot get your blog working for you. Then I went a bit nuts and cut the price by $20 but just through Saturday. Check out WordPress Made Easy today before the savings disappears.
Last but certainly not least is the monthly WordPress Q and A Call tonight at 7pm edt. I will once again have my good friend Steve Roye on the line to keep it funny and avoid any techno-babble. You can call in or listen online and ask your questions live. Feel free to leave any questions in the comments below.
So all in all a Wacky WordPress Wednesday. Talk to you tonight.
Mike Paetzold.

Wow, that’s a lot of WordPress material to digest this early in the morning.
Looks to be a great upgrade though. Definitely looking forward to it.
Will be taking a closer look at the WordPress Made Easy videos as well. I’m not exactly a WordPress expert and could definitely use some pointers in the proper way to setup my blogs. Have been using the Fantastico install up until now even though I know that it is not the most secure installation.
Definitely time to go back and get them all upgraded the right way.
Thanks Mike!

Question for tonight. I need a better understanding of the difference between categories and tabs on my blogs. Is it true I should only use one category for a posting and multiple tabs. Or is it okay to do more than one category. And why? Should I try to have a relatively compact number of categories?

Wow, with all of the great WP services you provide and the knowledge you share, it’s no wonder that I keep seeing people talking about you and your sites.
It looks like it has been, and will continue to be a busy week for you

Amazed and appreciative that you have time to stay on top of all this Mike – between you and Alex Sysoef there’s no need for marketers to ever experience trouble with their blogs, especially if they use your Power WordPress Users service – and who wouldn’t?

Looks like you have made a good up date for WordPress Made Easy. Glad that you keep up with WordPress and pass the information on to your readers. I was able to listen to the last half of the call tonight. Hope that it was recorded so I can catch the first half. Good and up to date info.

Boy, you do have a bunch of things going. Nice to see that you are on top of all of this. I can see that the taking action part done wonders. Very inspiring. Keep it coming.

It is great to have a resource prepared in advance of the release. Not many take the effort to check the beta versions and prepare the information for us to use.
Thanks Mike, appreciate it.
