All In One SEO vs SEO Title Tag

By Mike | March 1, 2008

WordPress Made EAsy

Here is today’s question.

Which is better, All in One SEO Pack or SEO Title Tag?

These two are similar but different. I used to prefer SEO Title Tag when used in conjunction with Ultimate Tag Warrior personally. Then came version 2.3 of WordPress and tagging was integrated.

The real power in either was the ability to create custom title tags. Title tags on long tail keywords (multiple words) with low competition (less than 2,000,000 pages) is probably 75% of your SEO power for ranking for that term. With the new version of WordPress (at least the last time I checked) you couldn’t use one title for your post and a different one for your tag with SEO Title tag because you needed UTW to be able to do that.

I moved to All In One SEO at that time and still prefer it. You can also easily add custom meta descriptions and keywords with it in addition to the custom title tag which to me is the most important.

As always your questions and comments are welcomed.
