Creating backlinks

WordPress Made EAsy

Here is a question from the survey form.

Do you have any reputable resources on how to gain quality backlinks?

Well the real key for quality backlinks is effort. Sorry to say because everyone is looking for the quick fix.

There are tools to help automate some of the processes but the key is really consistent effort.

Following this list on a regular basis will work but it takes effort.

  1. Comment on other blogs in your area but take part in the conversation
  2. Write and distribute articles with proper anchor text
  3. Bookmark your posts and others regularly
  4. Submit your feed to all the RSS directories
  5. Submit your site to web directories

Doing these things and doing them consistently is the key to developing good backlinks. As you do this it will snowball especially commenting on blogs. If you are participating in the community regularly others will notice and start participating with you and recommending you.

I know it isn’t a quick fix but regular effort and consistency are the keys to long term results and staying in the good graces of the search engines and bookmarking sites. This way you don’t have to worry about the next change in the algorithms. If you are providing consistent good content and participating you will have long term staying power.

As always your questions and comments are wanted. (I could use some more questions for this blog.)

That was the same question I was going ask, but somebody beat me to it. but that is OK.

I appreciate the answer anyway. Because I seem to be having some trouble getting backlinks. Maybe I just have not been putting enough effort in to it or maybe it takes longer than I was expecting. But I will continue to follow your advice and see how it goes.

    Thanks again

    Hey Mike,

    These are all good ideas.
I have also had great success building quality back links to my blogs using some simple web 2.0 techniques.
Build a Squidoo lens in your niche with lots of useful content and add a link back to your blog of the same niche.
Link back to your blog from your ebay about me page,(This is perfectly OK with ebay)But do not link back from your auctions.(This is not OK with ebay)
Add a link back to your blog in your forum signatures and post helpful content on high traffic forums like “The Warrior Forum”. Be sure to post only in threads that concern the same niche as your blog and adhere to the forums rules, as they really frown on comment spam.

These are only a few ideas and a few high traffic sites that afford back link opportunities. The world of web2.0 is almost endless from the point of building quality back links to your blogs when you consider other sites like My space,Face book,Apsence, youtube(get started here now!).

    Thank you for your efforts

    Hi Mike

Should you bookmark your posts more than once - after a month or so should you go back round and bookmark them all again?

Keep up the great - helpful work

    Regards

    Richard
