How long should a blog post be
Today’s question comes up frequently but there is no one perfect answer.
It can depend on what you are blogging about and the type of content you are using.
That being said here is the question and some comments on the topic.
When blogging I’m still a little long winded. How many paragraphs do you think minimum should a post be, without leaving out important info?
Blog posts don’t have exact rules. Each person has to decide for themselves. A 3 paragraph minimum probably works well for most posts that are all written content.
I have seen a number that are just one paragraph or even a single sentence and a video or audio. An introduction and the other media.
Now long winded can work depending on the skill of the person writing, the interest of the person reading it and the formatting of the blog.
Huge paragraphs and no white space will hurt the number of people that will read your post.
Now another point to consider and I see this a lot with “long winded” posts. Really long posts unless they are focused can be tough for the search engines to index.
If you are covering multiple topics then create multiple posts. Better to have 2,3 or even 4 short posts than one massive one if the topics are not the same.
Remember to let me know what you think and leave your comments and questions below.
