Today is not a day for a rant. Yes I have been working hard to make the Sunday rant a regular feature and yes this will be categorized that way.

But the point of the rant is to look back at things that can get me up on a soap box and this is not a week for a soap box. It has been a long hard week but it is more important to be thankful this week than to rant. This for me is a week to stay off the soap box and get on my knees and give thanks.

The week for me centered around family and a launch. On Wednesday I launched my latest product Profitable Blog Steps and on Thursday my son had to have a small tumor removed from his brain. Yes I worried about brain surgery this week.

How often I have used the saying “It aint brain surgery” when talking with people I am very thankful that most of the things we do are not. A bit scary waiting for the results when it is someone you love that is having it done.

So there was good and bad this week but it ended up being a great week.

By yesterday the kid was home and the MRI was clear so they had gotten everything and with the exception of some fine motor skills there were no effects. He has trouble typing and texting right now but that was expected and they tell us that will come back.

So Thursday spending the day in the hospital was draining but even then it was nice that the hospital had wifi. The worries about Phil would be bad enough if I had to sit there and worry about any problems with my launch at the same time of which there were none thankfully.

So yesterday went down to Phil’s to see him at home and the grandkids. No matter how cantankerous it is kind of hard to be down when a two year old greets you and says Grandpa come outside and play with me.

Add in the youngest who has 3 states right now – smiling, eating or sleeping (there is a fourth but I’ll skip that one ;) )and it was a great day. Add in a short trip to see my daughter’s new puppy and it makes today a day for thanks not for rants.

Hard to get up and rant when you are thankful for so much after a tough week.

Don’t worry I will be back to ranting by next week and check out Profitable Blog Steps while the initial $20 discount is in effect.
