WordPress 3.0.5 and a new release candidate
Woke up this morning, logged in to the blog and saw the release notice. Was very unexpected at this time.
Figured the next upgrade notice I got would be for the new version 3.1 so when I saw it for 3.0.5 I was surprised.
From the WordPress notice
This security release is required if you have any untrusted user accounts, but it also comes with important security enhancements and hardening. All WordPress users are strongly encouraged to update.
The fact that it effects various user levels means you should update this one and it is even more critical if you use authors and Contributors.
This hardening changed the upcoming version so if you are testing the release candidates there is now a 4th release candidate for version 3.1.
Upgrading is easy using the dashboard and I have added the video tutorial for doing that below.
