New look what do you think?
By Mike | November 23, 2007

Well after over eating, watching some football and then taking a nap I decided to houseclean here.
One thing led to another and I remodeled the place rather than just tidy up.
Guess that is what happens when you get on a roll.
Have a few minor changes left to go but all in all think it is a bit neater, easier to read and much cleaner than what was here.
Let me know what you think of the new look. Your comments and opnioins are always welcomed.

Hi Mike,
I was led to believe, when I tried to install the BlogRush widget to my blog, that WordPress does not allow you to blog for profit. Am I incorrect?

If you are using Wordpress.com and not hosting your own blog that is true.
You can do what you want if you use the software on your own server.

Thanks, but as a computer challenged geriatric, how do I do that?

Hi Mike,
It looks good. I noticed your other blog also had a new header.
The question is, did you use templates and design your own, or did you pay for them to be created?
I’ve recently started a niche blog Stop-The-Heartburn.com and spent hours trying to get the header correct. I came to the sorry realization that I’m NOT a graphic artist! So, I finally paid to have one created. What do you think?
(If you think this comment is spam, you can delete that last paragraph out. I just wanted your opinion.)
Thanks,

All I did was play with the colors and header fonts in the css file and went to Istock and created the background picture to the same size as the standard background image.
I quite often pay for custom headers and if I wanted fancy text on the header would have done that on this one but was able to manipulate the css to get a look I liked.

Sorry Ann
Missed your question last time I was here.
There are a few ways to do that if you are technically challenged.
First if you want to learn you can use WordPress Made Easy multi media course.
If all you want is to get a blog set up properly and use it then you can click the Custom Blog Creation link.
Both are listed uunder my sites and for fairness there are other products and similar installation services available but
I don’t recommend them not because they are not good (some are and some aren’t) but because they aren’t mine *smile*

I really like the look of your header. Thanks also for the info on playing with the css. Sounds like a great series for you to do.
My hubby did a quick little piece on it on hornerartworkshop.com but he is an artist and it came easy to him unlike someone like myself who can only draw money out of the bank.
So I look forward to your future posts on this area I know it will be great.
