Well as we were celebrating the new year and enjoying the holiday WordPress continues to move towards 3.1. They released the latest release candidate on New Year’s Day.

Looking at the release trac there are only a few items listed so the release should be relatively soon.

If you are a plugin or theme author it would be good to test your items against this latest release.

Had to laugh at this though on the blog.

Beta 1 came on Thanksgiving, RC1 on Christmas, and RC2 on New Year’s Day. We won’t be waiting for another holiday for the final release, though, so if you haven’t tested WordPress 3.1 yet, now is the time!

Looking forward to the actual release and looks like that should be shortly.

So far on my test blog there have been no conflicts with my normal plugins. Hope it keeps up.
